On Easter Box Saturday

 We're such rebels!
 Inside this year's Easter box.
Trying out the kite that Grandma Joan and Grandpa Ron sent in the Easter box.
 It's amazing!
It was the perfect day to dye Easter eggs outside!
Happy Easter weekend to those celebrating! xo

Scenes From Dress Rehearsal

On their way in to dress rehersal. Emma's wearing Grace's hat from the production number.
 Production.
Look for the dancer without a hat and you'll find Grace!
Ready for lyrical.
Emma helps Grace get ready for her jazz dance. She is such an awesome dance team sister!
I have to admit I really wasn't sure about these costumes until I saw them on stage last night! So pretty!
Watching the junior team rehearse.
Finishing touches.
Two chicks.
They are dancing to "A Bushel and a Peck". Michael had no way of knowing when he chose this song (or even until right now) that it has very special meaning for us as this is the song my mom has sung to the girls since the  day they were born.
 Chattin' with the chicks.

And the countdown is on! One week from today is the first comp of the season! The entire team is poised to shine bright that day! xo

Pen And Ink

Today's morning lesson was a very fancy ending to our Colonial America/Revolutionary War block! They both did such a lovely job this entire block, but most especially on this project. Perhaps it was that cursive is the norm for them. Or maybe it was the quill pen.  Regardless of what the reason was, their writing seemed exceptionally beautiful today. xo

A Little Of This, A Little Of That

Wrapping up our Colonial America/Revolutionary War block with some Revolutionary women main lesson book pages.
Sybil Ludington in Emma's.
And Judith Sargent Murray in Grace's.
A pretty new leo for Emma.
And Dave in dance team dad mode, made for quite a day! xo
