Farewell

Today we attended mass at the church where the girls were baptized. It was Father Michael's last mass and since he was the priest who baptized Emma we felt it was right to be there to bid him farewell. The gorgeous sanctuary (one of my favorites) was packed! I'm so glad that we arrived early so that we could sit close enough for the girls to be able to take it all in. The procession by the Knights of Columbus was something that this Protestant chick had never witnessed before. It was quite a way to begin mass! Father Michael's homily was just gorgeous, a beautiful final message for all parishioners regardless of how long they had been part of the parish (Father Michael had been part of IC for the last thirteen years). Though we were not weekly members of the congregation we are grateful to have had the chance to know this wonderful man. Good luck in Natick, Father Michael. You will surely be missed.
